How to make the correct choice in floor substrate
preparation based on wet and dry conditions.

WET SYSTEM

> than 3% Screed Residual Moisture Content

Installation of LVT / Vinyl Flooring with moisture content of screed above 3%

If the MC is between 3% and 5%, a moisture barrier is required.

If the MC is between 3% and 5%: 2 Coats of Wakol D 3080 will be required.
MC of above 5% moisture content, installation not permitted.

Application of Wakol D 3080 Moisture Barrier

Application method

WAKOL Primer Roller 11 mm, short haired velour, or foam roller

Consumption

Approx. 60-75 g/m2 1. Application 1:1 diluted
Approx. 100-120 g/m2 2. Application undiluted

Drying Time

Approx. 40-50 minutes per coat

Consumption is dependent on surface structure and absorbability of subfloor.

As per manufacturers technical data sheet, using Wakol Z 680 dust reduced leveling compounds (or other leveling compounds on request) on Wakol D 3080 Moisture Barrier

WAKOL D 3307 PVC Adhesive

Area of application

Dispersion adhesive for laying homogeneous PVC flooring in planks and tiles, LVT flooring, CV flooring,
textile flooring with fleece, TR, jute and latex foam backing as well as woven textile flooring on
absorbent subfloors indoors. WAKOL D 3307.

Application method

Trowel notch size according to A1 & A2 to be used.

Consumption

A1 Trowel: approx. 200-250 g/m² | A2 Trowel: approx. 330-530 g/m²

Airing Time

Approx. 10-20 minutes

Working Time

Approx. 15 minutes

Rolling over the vinyl

After 15min of completion on laying the Vinyl – continue to roll over the floors with 50 – 60 kg roller
preferably.

DRY SYSTEM

< 3% Screed Residual Moisture Content

Installation of LVT / Vinyl Flooring with moisture content of screed below 3%

If the MC is lower than 3%, no moisture barrier is required.

WAKOL D 3003 Dispersion Primer

Area of application

Ready-to-use dispersion-based primer to use as an adhesive bridge for Wakol Z 680 dust reduced levelling
compounds (or other levelling compounds on request) on WAKOL D 3003 Dispersion Primer for priming
cement screed, calcium sulphate screed, magnesite screed (with exclusively mineral-based
additives), concrete, gypsum fibre boards, as well as Wakol levelling and filling compounds before
subsequent levelling indoors.

Application method

WAKOL Primer Roller, velour, or foam roller

Consumption

Approx. 90-140 g/m²

Drying Time

On cement screeds and concrete following visible drying; on calcium sulphate screed and gypsum fibre
boards after at least 60 minutes.

As per manufacturers technical data sheet, using Wakol, Z 680 dust reduced levelling compounds (or other levelling
compounds on request) as per previous specification.

WAKOL D 3307 PVC Adhesive

Area of application

Dispersion adhesive for laying homogeneous PVC flooring in planks and tiles, LVT flooring, CV flooring,
textile flooring with fleece, TR, jute and latex foam backing as well as woven textile flooring on
absorbent subfloors indoors. WAKOL D 3307.

Application method

Trowel notch size according to A1 and A2 to be used.

Consumption
